Michael took the kids to the office last week for a bit of Holiday celebration. The kids had fun and Michael, well, he just had his hands full of kids who ate too much sugar. Enjoy!

Liam is "Star of the Week"

Each week in Liam's Kindergarten class, the teacher picks a child to be "Star of the Week". To celebrate this exciting event, Liam picked some fun pictures to make two collages and then filled out the big "All About Me" sheet.

In addtion, the child is asked to fill a "Guestimation Jar" with their favorite little toys (all the same), so the other kids can guess how many are in the jar.

Cranberry is in the House!

Yesterday it was Liam's turn to bring home Cranberry, the Kindergarten classroom teddy bear. What an adventure; first they visited our neighbor, Donna. After their trip across the street, they came home for dinner and playtime. Liam and Cranberry put Drew to bed and then Liam wanted to show Cranberry some of our Christmas decorations and favorite ornaments. Cranberry had a nice playdate with Liam and went to bed by 8:30am.

Thanksgiving Day

What a fun day! We started off with a great visit to see Grandpa Pop Pop and Grandma Patty at the hospital. It was great to see them both and Pops was having a great time playing with the kids; they were cracking up (as shown in the pic below). They really enjoyed their visit with Pops and Grandma...not to mention they got a bit of loot as well. Spoiled little ones!

Following our visit with Tim and Patty, we made our way to Kath and Joe's for a Thanksgiving feast...and only had to sit in 3 hours of traffic! Apparently everyone celebrates Thanksgiving with an afternoon meal...who knew!? Anyway, The Ruiz's, Gouveia's and Crowley's were joined by Uncle Penn and Guy's parents. We all ate too much a relaxed while the kids destroyed Kath's house. :-)

Friendship Feast

On a happier note, Liam and his schoolmates enjoyed a Friendship Feast today. Over the last few weeks, they've been learning about the Pilgrims, how they dressed and what they would eat. You'll see he's wearing a charming Pilgrim hat and enjoying his feast! (royal blue long sleeve shirt.)

Our Oldest...We Will Miss You Schweizer

Sadly, we had to put Schweiz to sleep last night. He started getting sick around 7pm and wouldn't eat dinner which means there is a major problem. Michael took him to emergency vet care by 9pm and they determined over the next few hours that he had eaten something foreign again, but this time it had moved to his intestines, and was also stuck in his stomach creating an accordian in his intestines. The proposed surgery would have been very, very invasive and if he made it through, would have to have had some intensive caregiving, which we sadly aren't able to provide.

So we've been really sad, except for Liam and I'm kind of worried about it. When we told him this morning, Michael and I were both teary and I think it scared him as he responded with a smile the whole time. Total denial. Even Drew was crying when he heard that woof-woof was gone.

We'll all think about Schweiz up in Heaven, in what we hope is a HUGE dog park!

HALLOWEEN PICS

We kicked of the Halloween Season with a visit to the pumpkin patch and the Fall Festival at Liam's school. Mom thought she'd get into the spirit and dress up in costume since she was working at one of the booths. All followed by Halloween itself. Enjoy!
